French Classics, Elevated for a New Moment
Led by Executive Chef William Kresky, Café Boulud, presents a seasonally changing menu grounded in classical French technique and a deep commitment to hyper‑seasonality. Drawing inspiration from Chef Daniel’s family meals in Lyon, the cuisine balances timeless brasserie favourites with contemporary expressions shaped by Ontario’s ever‑evolving seasons.
The dining room, envisioned by London‑based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, blends vintage inspiration with modern elegance. A residential warmth flows through the space, featuring a comfortable lounge, wraparound banquettes, a dining bar counter, and an intimate semi‑private room accommodating up to ten guests. Designed to feel both refined and inviting, Café Boulud offers an experience equally suited to celebratory evenings and everyday indulgence.
Rooted in Chef Daniel Boulud’s Lyonnaise heritage, Café Boulud continues to evolve as a destination defined by craftsmanship and a sense of place—inviting guests to return time and again.

Our History
Named for the café Daniel Boulud’s family operated outside Lyon at the turn of the century, the first modern-day Café Boulud opened in the original Upper East Side location of his eponymous restaurant DANIEL in 1998, in New York City.
In 2015, Daniel Boulud reopened Café Boulud in Toronto with a reimagined, mid-century design and a new menu. The dining room was envisioned by London-based designer Martin Brudnizki to have a vintage-inspired ambiance highlighted by a comfortable lounge and wraparound banquettes, a dining bar counter, and a semi-private room that accommodates up to ten guests.
